Juventus-Milan, Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t mince words for former’s challenge

Juventus-Milan on Sunday night will certainly not be a match like any other for Massimiliano Allegri, who has returned to coach Milan this year after a very long Bianconeri interlude, between 2014 and 2019 and between 2021 and 2024, which made him one of the most successful coaches in Italy. Speaking at a press conference in Milanello, however, the coach from Livorno explained that he is not seeking revenge against the club that gave up on him at the tail end of the 2023-2024 season.
“For me it has been a week like any other – Allegri commented -, the feelings are there after eight years at Juventus but I hope to make another eight at Milan. Do I risk missing benches at the Stadium? I would say no, they even reversed them! Joking aside, it’s always a thrill for me to sit on the bench, regardless of the match”.
“I am not looking for revenge – explained the Rossoneri coach again -, when I went to Juventus I thanked Milan, when I came back here I thanked Juve. I think it will be a good match, we have to be good if we want to arrive with a smile at the break. Compared to the game with Napoli we have to fix something, but on that occasion we defended well despite the numerical inferiority”.
Some training doubts concern Tomori and Rafael Leao: “Tomori is available but we will definitely evaluate his condition after the last fixture.
Leao made for the first time a full week at the training level. Regardless of who plays, we have the goal of continuing to score points, we need 74-75 usually to go to the Champions: we still have a lot to go”.
