Luca Caldirola from A to D in just a few months

After three seasons in Serie A at Monza, Luca Caldirola chose to agree with Folgore Catarese, a Serie D club with which he had been training for some time, as a free agent. The 1991-class defender thus goes to reinforce the Azzurri lineup, engaged in the Girone B of the fourth series, where after five days is leading the standings with 13 points, two more than Milan Futuro second.
“A new era begins”, a new era begins, is the message with which Folgore Caratese announced on its social channels the agreement with the footballer born in Desio on February 1, 34 years ago. Caldirola will remain in the brianzolo club’s roster until next June 30 and is already available to coach Nicola Belmonte.
Growing up in the youth ranks of Inter, Luca Caldirola has worn the Nerazzurri first team jersey only once, in the Champions League match against CSKA Moscow (match won 2-1 by the Russians) on December 7, 2011, taking over at the beginning of the second half from Cristian Chivu, the current Nerazzurri coach. Remaining the property of the Beneamata until June 2012, he played on loan at Vitesse and Brescia.
Subsequently, Caldirola wore the jerseys of Cesena, Werder Bremen, Darmstadt, Werder Bremen again (splitting between first and second team) and Benevento, making his Serie A debut precisely with the Samnite club in the 2020-2021 season.
