Bologna to receive the Building Kindness in Sport Award

Before the match between Bologna and Pisa, the Costruiamo Gentilezza nello Sport Award was presented at the Dall’Ara to the Emilian club and its CSR Area for the project related to the formations with players’ name-signs.
Delivering the award were the two ambassadors of Let’s Build Kindness, Gaia Simonetti, also a representative of USSI Tuscany, and Chiara Castellani, Vice-President of Let’s Build Kindness, who donated the jersey, symbol of the Award, to CEO Claudio Fenucci along with Valentina Vanicore and Veronica Pedrelli of the CSR Area’Marketing Department. The award ceremony was also supported by the USSI Emilia-Romagna.
The Building Kindness in Sport Award, took inspiration from the gesture of the heart of Guglielmo Vicario, who was among the first to take in a family that fled the war. It enhances kind gestures and projects through sports and in its 3 years of existence (it was born in’fall 2022) has ” recognized” more than 30 stories of kindness by athletes, managers, teams.
Bologna’s initiative marks an important step in the path of inclusion, launching the project dedicated to the deaf community that passionately follows the Rossoblù colors.
The project was carried out in collaboration with a group of hearing-impaired Bologna fans who identified the characteristics of each individual player and created signs that best represent them.
An example? Lorenzo De Silvestri, for everyone “the Mayor,” has a name-sign inspired precisely by the sash of the first citizen.
