Passed the Mandalika scare, comes a big sigh of relief for Marc Marquez after the nasty accident suffered in Indonesia after being hit by Marco Bezzecchi at the start of the Grand Prix. The Ducati centaur immediately returned to Spain for tests, which yielded a heavy response, but still less negative than expected.

Tests revealed a “fracture at the base of the coracoid apophysis and a ligament injury in the right shoulder. Clinical examination and radiological evaluation ruled out any correlation with previous injuries and also confirmed the absence of significant bone displacement” is the note released by the’hospital.

The rider, reveals the medical team of Drs. Samuel Antuña and Ignacio Roger de Oña, will not undergo surgery but will observe conservative treatment, which includes rest and immobilization of the affected shoulder until it heals.

Marc Marquez is expected to miss the next two Grand Prix in Australia and Malaysia. The Ducati centaur is expected to return to the track on the weekend of Nov. 9 in Portimao, Portugal, at the penultimate race of the World Championship already won by a margin.
