Jonathan David already has a heavyweight suitor

Olympique Marseille could go crazy for a top striker who is currently experiencing a complicated phase at his new club. This is alleged by fichajes.net. Jonathan David has not made the impact he hoped for at Juventus. Having arrived in Turin in the summer with high expectations, the Canadian center forward has scored only one goal in his first seven games. His zero-parameter transfer from Lille had ignited the enthusiasm of Juventus fans. In France, in the previous three seasons, David had scored a total of 77 goals, becoming a central pawn in the Dogues’ project.

But the jump to Serie A proved more difficult than expected. Tactical differences, defensive intensity and the pressures typical of Juventus slowed his adaptation. Although he looked positive in the early days, his performance has not fully convinced. One of the main problems is the lack of continuity: coach Igor Tudor has rotated the offensive department often, alternating David between the bench and the field, looking for the right combination.

In the meantime, there are those in France who are watching the situation closely. Olympique Marseille is considering bringing David back to Ligue 1. The club’s executives are convinced that, in a more familiar, attack-oriented tactical context, the striker can return to his former levels. However, they are well aware that any move will depend on Juventus’ willingness to let him leave in the upcoming market.

For Marseille, it would be a strategic operation: focusing on a profile already broken in the French league could decisively strengthen the offensive department. But the possible negotiation would only unlock if David were to lose further space in the bianconeri squad.

Now it is up to Juventus to decide whether to be patient. The contract signed with David is five years, until 2030, and the club expected an immediate contribution in terms of goals and offensive depth. However, the initial performance has opened doubts among press and fans.
