At 8:45 p.m. at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, Austria hosts San Marino in the sixth day of Group H of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Rangnick’s national team, undefeated in its history against the Sanmarinese, is in the thick of the race for a spot at the next World Cup and shares the top spot in the group with Bosnia-Herzegovina. It is the opposite situation for San Marino, bottom of the group and now without a chance of qualifying for the Canada, Mexico and the United States review.

Rangnick will have to do without Tobias Lawal and Xaver Schlager, both of whom are in the box due to injury. Alexander Schlager will have space between the posts, while the defensive line will consist of Laimer, Lienhart, Alaba and Mwene. Seiwald and Grillitsch will act in the midfield, with Schmid, Baumgartner and Sabitzer in charge of supporting Gregoritsch, the only offensive reference.

The other side will be in the middle.

On the other side, head coach Cevoli will have to do without the disqualified Alessandro Golinucci. In the middle of the field, space will be given to one of Giocondi and Lazzari, along with Mularoni and Capicchioni, while forward the trident will be composed of Contadini, Nanni and Berardi.

The team will be made up of the two players.
