Mike Maignan sides with Adrien Rabiot against Milan-Como in Perth

The decision to have Milan-Como played in Perth doesn’t convince Mike Maignan either: “I fully agree with Rabiot – said the France goalkeeper from the national team’s retreat at the match against Iceland -. Today we think a lot about the financial aspect and forget other things”.
“It“s a Serie A game. I don’t understand why it is played abroad. We have important goals and so we lose the chance to play a home game”.
Rabiot had already gone down flat: “It is totally absurd. We talk a lot about schedules and the health of the players, but this all seems really absurd. It is crazy to travel so many kilometers to have a match played between two Italian teams”.
Milan-Como will be played in Australia officially because San Siro on Feb. 8 will be occupied by the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.
