Numia Vero Volleyball Milan, first loss of the season in Chieri

The comeback did not succeed for Numia Vero Volley Milano, which among the walls of a sold-out PalaFenera surrendered at the tie-break to the hosts of Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76.
.
After almost two and a half hours of play, Egonu and her teammates – despite the good performance they offered – were unable to overturn the result: down on two occasions, the meneghine found themselves coming back first from 1-0, and then from 2-1, without, however, managing to close the match in their favor.
Positive note of the evening was the performance of Elena Pietrini, who took the court in the third set, scoring 10 points and performing well in attack and defense. Top scorer for Numia is – once again -captain Egonu, who scored 24 points; also in double figures for Milan were Kurtagic (14 points) and the setters Piva and Lanier, both scoring 10 points. Also of note was the good performance at the wall (15 monster blocks for the rosablu).
For the girls of coach Lavarini there is no time to rest: tour de force for Vero Volleyball that next week is expected by two important commitments. The first, on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 8:30 p.m. at the Opiquad Arena in Monza with the midweek round against Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia, an opportunity for Milan to find the three points in the league again. On Saturday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m., it will instead be on stage at PalaTrieste for the big-match against Prosecco Doc A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano that puts the Italian Super Cup up for grabs.
