Numia Vero Volleyball Milan on the hunt for redemption with Vallefoglia

Numia Vero Volley Milan is looking forward to a busy week. It starts on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when the Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia of captain Candi, great ex of the match, will arrive within the friendly walls of the Opiquad Arena in Monza. The match –valid for the third day of Serie A1 Tigotà –will give Paola Egonu and companions a chance to redeem themselves after the fifth-set loss to Chieri. The starting whistle for the challenge against the Tigers is set for 8:30 p.m.

Two days later, coach Stefano Lavarini’s Rosablu will head to Friuli for the Fineco Supercup: on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m.

the spotlight will be on Pala Trieste, where the meneghine will compete with the Venetian Prosecco Doc A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano the first trophy of the season.

Both teams that will tread the taraflex of the Opiquad Arena in Wednesday’s match are coming off a win and a loss: Milan comes from a 3-0 success in the opener with Bergamo and a fifth-set loss to Chieri, while the Marche ladies come from two tie-breaks – against Perugia and Florence – and come to Monza with ten sets in their legs. There are 11 comparisons between the two teams (10 wins for Numia and one for Megabox) with the’last one played in March for the scudetto playoffs.

Returning to Lombardy soil for Sonia Candi, best blocker of last year&#8217s Tigotà Serie A1 and great former of this challenge, who wore the rosablu jersey for seven seasons (2015 to 2018 and 2021 to 2024). For Milan, however, it is assistant coach Andrea Mafrici who coached the green-and-whites in the 2022/2023 season. A key match then for the two formations, which will take the field with the’goal of winning the entire stake.
