No Serie A for Fabio Paratici: his new post made official

After the rumors of his return to Serie A that characterized part of the summer soccer market session (his name had been hinted at AC Milan, before the Rossoneri turned to Igli Tare), Fabio Paratici chose to stay away from Italy, starting from where he left off: Tottenham, in fact, announced on Wednesday the return to Spurs of the former Sampdoria and Juventus sporting director.
Paratici will assume the position of sporting director at the London club, sharing it with Johan Lange: “I am happy to return to a club I love– said Paratici. “Over the past few months I have been working, as a consultant, with Johan, Vinai Venkatesham and Thomas Frank, and I am looking forward to returning to London to join the team full time”.
“I am convinced that, working side by side with Johan, we can build something special for the club and for our fans” added Paratici, who thus returns to Tottenham full-time after an initial spell at Spurs between 2021 and 2023. The executive will be operational immediately and will work side by side with Lange, a Danish manager and compatriot of coach Frank.
Born in 1972, a former midfielder for Piacenza, Fiorenzuola, Pavia, Novara, Palermo, Giugliano, and Brindisi, among others, Fabio Paratici embarked on his career as sporting director, at the end of his playing career, at Sampdoria, under the guidance of the then Blucerchiato general manager Beppe Marotta, whom he would also follow to Juventus. Paratici remained at the Bianconeri until 2021, to move to England. Following a sanction imposed by the Italian Football Federation and extended to foreign countries, the executive left Spurs in 2023, to officially return today.
