Ademola Lookman may return to the center of Atalanta, which is also banking on the definitive recovery of Charles De Ketelaere and the return to high levels of Gianluca Scamacca to resume its path toward extremely ambitious goals. This was admitted by Ivan Juric on the eve of the challenge with Lazio, naming precisely the three starters of Gian Piero Gasperini&#8217s Nerazzurri in the year of their Europa League conquest.

“We are working a lot on the’goal of improving in the penalty area– Juric explained in the press conference -. We have to become more cynical in the goal area, and in that sense I see improvements. Also on the part of Sulemana. Then it will be important to understand the condition of Lookman and De Ketelaere after the last training sessions. In any case, I am extremely confident about their recovery to full strength”.

Juric, moreover, focused more specifically on De Ketelaere, glossing over the’possibility of being able to deploy him on the field as a first forward: “My priority is for him to return to his level. Because before the injury he was a player of great intensity, and I want to see him like that again. In his best version. We have so much room for improvement up front, it also applies to Sulemana. I am convinced that this Atalanta will still grow in an important way”.

Front center forward, Scamacca is still expected. “He has recently resumed training with the group– Juric recalled -. Now he has to find the right condition, and a little bit’ at a time we will introduce him in matches. Now it is important that he is getting better and better, especially since we have Kolasinac, Kossounou and Bellanova out, while Zalewski has just returned. The next round of matches will help us understand what the value of Atalanta is and what are the aspects in which we can improve. However, for now I can say I am satisfied, and against Lazio I will certainly not sign for a draw”.
