Lazio market: Maurizio Sarri confesses why he agreed to return

Lazio soccer market: Maurizio Sarri has returned to the biancoceleste in a year that was certainly not easy for the club, which was forced to make no incoming transactions throughout last summer. However, the Tuscan coach has agreed to put himself at the helm of the team that led to second place in Serie A in the 2022-2023 season, explaining what he expects for the future and adding that he would say yes to the Capitolini alone in such a situation.
“What I have done so far I would have done for one team only – Sarri revealed in the press conference on the eve of Atalanta-Lazio, scheduled for Sunday afternoon in Bergamo -. In a team that, after signing my contract, informs me that there is no market, I would definitely have left. I would have jumped ship immediately. Here I did not want to do that, and this strength is not abandoning me. Even though the difficulties and anger are daily”.
“I continue to have a firm belief that I can help this group grow. I believe that seven or eight of these guys have the ability and potential to play at a good level. I stayed for Lazio’s environment, but how interesting this project can be from a technical point of view I will be able to begin to tell in January and June next year’next year” added Sarri.
And from this point of view, the Lazio coach went even further. “In the team we have many guys who play by instinct. These are different mental characteristics from soccer d’order that I prefer. In any case, I see that on their part there’s a great evolution, also in the way they pose and are available. I am convinced that some of them will grow exponentially. I struggle to get them to play as I say, but with the application of the last month we will get there. At the end of the year I would also like to name names, and I hope to be able to name three or four” concluded Sarri.
