Loïs Boisson raises the white flag

Loïs Boisson raises the white flag. Her 2025 has come to an end: last appearance a third-round withdrawal at the WTA 1000 in Beijing in late September while she was losing to Emma Navarro.
A victim of a left quadriceps tear, the world number 37 had said she wanted to do everything possible to be able to play tournaments again in 2025 but the French number 1 finally decided not to return to the court until next year.
“After talking with my team and medical staff, we have decided to end my 2025 season” the surprise Roland Garros semifinalist wrote Monday night in a message on her Instagram account.
“I will take some time to rest and then return to training soon to come back even stronger in 2026. See you soon!” added the transalpine, who this year, in addition to her exploit in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower won her first WTA circuit title in Hamburg.
