Milan market: a new name is circulating for after Mike Maignan

Mike Maignan has carved out a central role for himself in the Rossoneri over the past few years, even going so far as to wear the captain’s armband. However, his contract is set to expire on June 30, 2026, which is why the Meneghina management is on the one hand working on a renewal that may not even materialize, and on the other on the names of his possible heir.
The first option leads to Parma’s Zion Suzuki, a profile that ds Igli Tare in particular likes a lot. For the second option, however, one has to go to the Bundesliga: to Freiburg, to be precise. Here plays Noah Atubolu, a German of Nigerian origin born in 2002 who has done all the trafilaila with the youth selections of Germany. His odds are rising sharply, with the numbers rowing on his side: Inter are also interested, and so yet another Milanese market derby could be sparked.
Lucio Pengue, journalist of Kiss Kiss Napoli, spoke during the Radio Goal broadcast and extracted a third name of all respect: it is that of Alex Meret, who in the Azzurri team faces competition from Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
“For the Frenchman, it has been a very troubled summer for a possible renewal that then did not come – he began -. Milan has therefore started to make some reasoning about a possible replacement, there could be an interest in Meret as they are looking for an experienced goalkeeper who can develop the young Torriani”.
“Pastorello, Meret’s agent, has had a few phone calls from the Rossoneri club which knows, that next season, Maignan will not be the starting goalkeeper and will want to try for the Napoli player as early as January” added Pengue.
