LND on the field with Komen Italy for breast cancer prevention

“In the month dedicated to breast cancer prevention Lega Nazionale Dilettanti supports Komen Italia. Together, on all the fields of the Amateur leagues to remember that in 90% of cases an early diagnosis makes the disease curable allowing more effective and less invasive treatments. Prevention is the best defense”. This is the text that will be read during the matches scheduled from today, Friday, Oct. 24, to Oct. 27, and which also represents the concrete commitment of the Amateur League and its clubs.

“We want to take the field with Komen Italia– declares Luca De Simoni, CSR Area Coordinator of the Amateur League– to remember that prevention really does make a difference. Each match thus becomes an’opportunity to talk about health and encourage simple gestures that can save lives. Because taking care of yourself is not only important, but necessary”.

“Physical activity is a true pillar of primary prevention, and it is for us at Komen Italia a great pride to be able to collaborate with the National Amateur League” said Professor Riccardo Masetti, founder of Komen Italia. “This collaboration allows us to spread the message of prevention more and more widely and to remember that early diagnosis can really save lives”.

The new initiative, in collaboration with Komen Italia, is the stage of a journey that, for more than two years, has seen the Amateur CSR Area engaged in projects dedicated to soccer as an ambassador of messages that can do a lot for life.
