MotoGP, Sepang: Pedro Acosta the fastest in free practice 2, Pecco Bagnaia disappoints

After the excellent performance of Fermin Aldeguer in the first free session in Sepang, Free Practice 2 of the Malaysian GP saw Pedro Acosta set the fastest time on track. The Spanish rider ended the session with the fastest time on track (1:57.559).
The second free practice session was affected by the’arrival of rain 14′ from the conclusion of track practice. The drivers returned with about 6′ to spare which revolutionized the Top 10. Pedro Acosta surprised everyone with a sci-fi lap that earned him the fastest time overall.
Behind Pedro Acosta, were Johann Zarco, Jack Miller, Joan Mir, Fabio Quartararo, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, Pol Espargaro, Alex Marquez and Alex Rins.
Strongly important names remain outside the Top 10. Especially Pecco Bagnaia who finished in a not-excellent 12th place, failing, in the last lap, to find the right feeling with his Ducati. The blue rider continues in the period of enormous difficulty. Nothing to do even for Fermin Aldeguer who had done so well in the first free practice and who is back from his first GP win in MotoGP. Nor does Marco Bezzecchi shine, who finishes in 15th place, 0.801 seconds behind Pedro Acosta’s time.
