Celestino Vietti does not hide disappointment

Saturday much more complex than expected for the Sync SpeedRS team drivers at Sepang International Circuit: neither Alonso López nor Celestino Vietti managed to qualify for Q2 and will start from the seventh row of the grid.

After a promising FP2, closed in sixth place (2’04.033) with good feelings, the Piedmontese driver failed to confirm the same feelings in qualifying, stopping with the seventh time (2’04.050) in Q1.

Celestino will start from the nineteenth position, one more ahead than originally planned thanks to the penalty given to Ortolà for the accident involving them on the last lap of free practice.

“It was not the Saturday I expected. After a positive FP2 I thought I could do better in qualifying, but I couldn’t find the same feeling again. A tough challenge awaits us on Sunday, both because of the heat and the starting position, but we will try to give our best from the start to make up positions and have a good race” said Vietti.
