MotoGp, Fermin Aldeguer penalized: no podium in the Sprint

A bitter post-race ruling for Fermin Aldeguer: after the MotoGp Sprint in Malaysia, in which the Gresini Racing Spaniard had finished third under the checkered flag, race management found an’irregularity in tire pressure, giving Aldeguer himself an eight-second penalty. The result was relegation to seventh place.
So the order of arrival of Saturday’s short race at the Sepang circuit changes, won by Pecco Bagnaia (factory Ducati) ahead of Aldeguer’s teammate Alex Marquez. Indeed, Pedro Acosta’s KTM passes in third, while Franco Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) climbs to fourth and Fabio Quartararo (official Yamaha) closes the Top 5.
Comes instead in sixth position Marco Bezzecchi (official Aprilia) ahead of precisely Aldeguer, who remains in the points zone anticipating Johann Zarco (Honda LCR) and Enea Bastianini (KTM Tech3). Little bad, however, for the Spanish rider, who remains the best rookie of the season, passing, however, from 190 points to 185.
A class of 2005, Fermin Aldeguer is in his first season in MotoGp: a satisfactory year, in which the Spanish rider also managed to take his Ducati Desmosedici GP24 to victory, in the long race at Mandalika. Aldeguer also collected a second place in Austria and a third in France, finishing on the podium in Sprint in Le Mans itself, at Motorland Aragon (third place in both short races) and in Indonesia (second position).
