Pecco Bagnaia’s redemption: his in the Sepang Sprint Race
Pecco Bagnaia is smiling again after disastrous weekends in Indonesia and Australia. The Ducati centaur, who started from pole position, dominates the Sprint Race of the Malaysian Grand Prix, ending a perfect Saturday in Sepang.
Both Gresini Ducatis behind him, more than two tenths distant: Alex Marquez, second, and Fermin Aldeguer, third and almost a tenth away from his teammate. Completing the top 5 are Pedro Acosta (KTM) and Franco Morbidelli (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team).
Also scoring points are Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), Johann Zarco (Honda LCR) and Enea Bastianini (KTM Tech3). In the riders’ standings, Bagnaia is back ahead of Bezzecchi, taking back third place by only one point difference.
