Serie B: Palmiero dell'Avellino’s Palmiero and Samp coach Gregucci detained, fines for Bari, Juve Stabia and Padova

The sentences of the Sporting Judge of Serie B, Emilio Battaglia, regarding the ten matches of the cadet division played last weekend, arrived on Monday. Among the players only one disqualified: it is Luca Palmiero dell’Avellino, expelled directly at 44′ of the match lost 4-0 by the irpini against Spezia.
Two bench men were instead stopped for a turn: Sampdoria coach Angelo Gregucci will not be on the sidelines in the midweek round for having, at the 26th minute of the second half (of Sampdoria-Frosinone 1-1, ed.), addressed a disrespectful criticism to the match officials; infraction detected by the Fourth Official”. Also suspended for Modena goalkeeping coach Matteo Tomei, who was also ejected for protests during Modena-Empoli 2-1 on Friday.
According to Sampdoria, health worker Fabio Sannino will also have to serve a disqualification: the physiotherapist of the Blucerchiato club (as well as of the Italian national team) had been sent off along with Gregucci, also on the fourth man’s signal for contesting the referee team’s decision.
Finally, three clubs were fined, all for intemperance in the stands. This is the Lega B press release: “Fine of € 7,000.00: to Soc. BARI for having its supporters, during the match, throwing numerous firecrackers in the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 letter b) CGS. Fine of € 5,000.00: to Soc. JUVE STABIA for having its supporters, during the course of the match, thrown three firecrackers and five smoke bombs into the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS. Fine of € 2,000.00: to Soc. PADOVA for having its supporters, before the start of the match, launched a firecracker into the playing enclosure; penalty mitigated under art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS”.
