That which awaits the two Italian teams involved in the Euroleague is certainly a week full of pitfalls: for Virtus Bologna, in particular, it will be not easy days since the calendar proposes two consecutive away games, Tuesday in Kaunas against Zalgiris and Thursday in Munich against Bayern.

Coach Dusko Ivanovic wants to extend the positive series in the continental arena, which has come to three straight wins against Munich, Asvel and Panathinaikos, respectively, but he is aware of the Lithuanians’ strength, fresh from the Barcelona exploit: “Every time you go to Kaunas, the opponent knows that a tough game” said the Montenegrin coach.

“Zalgiris is a very strong and combative team that is making aggression and ambition a real weapon this year. Therefore, a tough game awaits us” added Ivanovic, who aims to confirm Virtus in the top six lot even at the end of the next two days of the Euroleague, putting pressure on the other pretenders for the playoffs.

On the eve of the game Brandon Taylor also spoke: “Zalgiris is an extremely tough team to face, especially at home where few manage to come out a winner – he said. They are a very talented team that manages to express itself at its best precisely when playing at home, where it offers its maximum energy and fighting spirit. So to play them we will have to fight with as much intensity for all forty minutes of the game, to the best of our ability”.
