Inter market, a new name pops up but the problem is… Gasperini

Among the certainties of this start of Serie A, Gianluca Mancini, backbone of Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma, undoubtedly stands out. After eight matches, the Giallorossi boast the best defense in the league: a figure that perfectly sums up the solidity and compactness of the team.
Mancini is now the soul of the Roma backline. A charismatic leader, in temperament and personality he is reminiscent of Marco Materazzi, Inter’s historic defender of the Triplete. Like the former Nerazzurri, the central player from Pontedera combines aggression, a sense of position, and that “competitive nastiness” so dear to Gasperini.
His performance has not gone unnoticed even in Milan, Nerazzurri side. According to several sources, including L’Interista, Inter has been following Mancini for some time and considers him an ideal profile to reinforce the defense in the near future.
However, at the moment there are no contacts either with Roma or with the player’s entourage. The Inter management, in fact, has not yet made any concrete steps ahead of the summer soccer market session. The interest is there, but many obstacles remain: above all, the central role that Mancini plays in Gasperini’s plans.
