A velvet debut for Jannik Sinner at the Paris Masters 1000. The world and seeded number two set Zizou Bergs, number 41 in the ATP rankings, with a final score of 6-4 6-2 after just under an hour and a half of play.

A rocket start for the Azure, who snatched the Belgian&#8217s serve in the opening game at the fifth good opportunity and confirmed the break at zero. The South Tyrolean misses two more break points in the third game, but on serve he concedes the crumbs and closes the partial 6-4 after 51 minutes.

Same script in the second set with Jannik winning the break in the opening thanks to a winning volley. L’Azzurro repeated the break lead in the fifth game, taking Bergs’ serve away to zero before closing on a 6-2 final.

Sinner thus flies to the round of 16 of the ‘Rolex Paris Masters‘ where he will face Francisco Cerundolo, number 21 in the ATP rankings, who beat Miomir Kecmanovic in three sets (7-5 1-6 7-6).
