Antonio Faravelli also triumphs with his wines in Salice Terme

Antonio Faravelli, a winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria in the Oltrepò Pavese, continues to reap success with his wines and the “Golf and Wine 1895” territorial revitalization project. Owner of the historic Cantine Vitea wineries, founded in 1895 by his great-grandfather, Faravelli has combined his passion for wine with his passion for golf, creating an initiative that aims to enhance Made in Italy and promote wine tourism.
During a splendid day at Golf & Country Salice Terme, on the occasion of the Golfimpresa Challenge 2025, dozens of participants were able to taste and purchase Vitea wines. In particular, the Bonarda Gallesio and Pinot Nero, two sparkling wines of excellence already selected by Italy’s Finest Wines among the best in Italy, were a great success. Wines with character, which once won even the palate of Giacomo Puccini.
Cantine Vitea is a family-run winery that has always cultivated its vineyards with respect for the environment, using low-impact practices. The philosophy is clear: quality first, optimal ripening of grapes, enhancement of natural aromas. A vision that has led Vitea wines to obtain prestigious international awards, such as the Silver Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, the award for Buttafuoco Cà del Cervo from Italy’s Finest Wines, The WineHunter Award Merano and the Corona 2026 from the Italian Touring Club’s Vinibuoni d’Italia guide
.
During the event, Antonio Faravelli presented the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, receiving acclaim. His goal is ambitious: to boost Italy’s image in the world through a network of experiences linked to the territory, where wine and sport become tools for cultural and tourism promotion.
