Serie A 2025-2026: Cremonese-Juventus, the likely lineups

On the heels of the officialization of Luciano Spalletti’s arrival on the bench, it is already exam time for Juventus, expected at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the field of one of the positive surprises of this early season, Cremonese. Both teams are fresh from a success in the midweek: the grigiorossi got Genoa into trouble by beating them 2-0 at Marassi, the Bianconeri beat Udinese 3-1 at home under the interim guidance of Massimo Brambilla, coach of the Next Gen.

At the Zini, however, the hosts haven&#8217t won since Aug. 29 (3-2 to Sassuolo).

Compared to then, there&#8217s an extra Jamie Vardy in the engine, and the Englishman is showing good chemistry with Federico Bonazzoli, who scored both goals at Marassi. The attacking pair should be starters again against the Old Lady.

The first-ever Spalletti-branded Juventus lineup should not deviate much in terms of form from Tudor’s, but it could feature novelties both in attack, where Yildiz’s absence could free up space for Openda, and in defense, with Rugani pawing to take the place of Kelly, who was forced to forfeit through injury.

Probable lineups

CREMONESE (3-5-2): Audero, Terracciano, Baschirotto, Bianchetti, Barbieri, Payero, Bondo, Vandeputte, Floriani Mussolini, Bonazzoli, Vardy. All. Nicola.

JUVENTUS (3-5-2): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Rugani, Gatti; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Koopmeiners, Kostic; Vlahovic, Openda. All. Spalletti.
