L’Inter is planning future market strategies: the Nerazzurri are increasingly of the idea of reinforcing their defense already in the upcoming winter session. Marotta and Ausilio are looking for a central defender who will raise the level and they want to anticipate the blow in January to make Chivu&#8217s squad more competitive immediately.

The main goal is to rejuvenate a department that sees three elements (De Vrij, Darmian and Acerbi) with expiring contracts in June and one (Akanji) on end of loan in the summer. In order not to change radically in June, Marotta wants to shelter himself by putting in a reinforcement right away.

It starts with Marotta&#8217s specialty: signing players whose contracts are expiring. Among the most coveted defenders to be released on a zero-parameter basis in June is Marc Guehi, class of 2000 from Crystal Palace. Anticipating a January swoop will require a bid of no less than 20 million euros.

Another hot name is Lazio’s Mario Gila, who is also being followed by AC Milan. The biancoceleste player has the same agent as Lautaro Martinez, Alejandro Camano. L’Inter follows two other young profiles, Oumar Solet (Udinese) and Tarik Muharemovic (Sassuolo). The price of the former has been set by the Friulani at around 25 million euros, the latter has just renewed until 2031 and in case of sale would also gain Juventus, which has the right to 50% on resale.
