Ferrari, at Interlagos Charles Leclerc aims for another podium finish

Charles Leclerc, in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit, wants to secure his eighth podium finish of the season, his third in a row, and help Ferrari consolidate second place in the constructors’ championship behind the impregnable McLaren.

“We are in Interlagos with neutral hopes but with the same approach as in the last few races, when the’execution was the right one,” said the Monegasque driver at the press conference. Here are his other words.

“It is a track I like, although I have never been on the podium. I’m sure that if we do everything perfectly, we can succeed. And thinking about how crazy things are here sometimes…”.

“I wouldn’t know how to choose between a win and second place in the constructors’ championship. Winning a race would be important as well as second place. Of course, if we were to finish second in the Constructors, however, it would not be enough for a team like Ferrari.”

“That said, we are now in the fight and that has to be our goal. Mercedes will be going strong in Las Vegas, while on the other tracks we will play it out. We have the wind in our sails and we hope to continue”.
