Not good news is coming for Azzurro skiing three months before the start of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. After Marta Bassino, who was forced to undergo surgery for a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in her left leg, Flora Tabanelli also suffered a bad injury in training.

The Italian Winter Sports Federation announced this via an official statement: “Flora Tabanelli, engaged in the Austrian gathering in Stubai along with the rest of the World Cup freeski slopestyle team, fell badly while landing from a jump during a training session, suffering a suspected sprain to her right knee”.

“The 17-year-old Emilian from the Centro Sportivo Esercito, world champion and holder of the World Cup in big air, will go in the coming hours to the nursing home “La Madonnina” in Milan, where she will undergo the necessary clinical examinations by the FISI Medical Commission chaired by Dr. Andrea Panzeri” closes the FISI note.
