Lorenzo Insigne is returning to play in Italy: the former Napoli striker has been released by Toronto FC a year early and is ready to return to Serie A, as a star player. The Neapolitan player has no intention of quitting and is looking for a club with which to start again for what could be the last experience of his career.

Insigne, who has been training with a personal athletic trainer for four months, is reportedly in the sights of Parma and Lazio. The Crusaders had already come forward in the summer, at the end of the summer market, but an understanding had not been found. The Emiliani could return to the charge in the winter but will have to reckon with Lazio, ready to grab the player.

Insigne would gladly return under the orders of Maurizio Sarri: he played his best soccer under his guidance and is interested in an’experience at Formello. Lazio, which has yet to figure out whether it will succeed in the January market, is ready to make its move for the released player.

Insigne in Canada played a total of 76 games, scoring 19 goals. In Serie A he always played for Napoli, with whom he played 337 games and scored 96 goals in the top division.
