KTM centaur Enea Bastianini commented on his unfortunate Grand Prix of Portugal, which ended in the last place after a contact at the start with Franco Morbidelli, who fell in the first lap: “Unfortunately, I had a contact with Franco Morbidelli, who was too optimistic at Turn 5 in the first lap, and this broke my front fairing: the steering somehow got stuck in the fairing, I could not turn properly, so it was necessary to stop in the pits and change”.

“We got back on track and had an’excellent race, with a pace that would have allowed me to fight for the top 5 today, so it”s frustrating of course,” said the Rimini centaur.

“When you start from the bottom, you always run the risk of encountering potential problems in the middle group, so obviously we have to improve qualifying, as always”, concluded Bastianini.
