When Jannik Sinner plays at the ATP Finals: background with Felix Auger-Aliassime

Jannik Sinner will make his debut in the 2025 edition of the ATP Finals in Turin as defending champion Monday night against Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian tennis player returns to play the last tournament of the year after participating in 2022, while for Jannik it is the fourth time. The match will begin no earlier than 8:30 p.m. on the indoor concrete of the Inalpi Arena.

There are five previous matches between Sinner and FAA, with three wins to two in favor of Jannik. Auger-Aliassime won in the round of 16 in Madrid in 2022 6-1 6-2 and again in the same year in the round of 16 in Cincinnati 2-6 7-6 6-1. All of Jannik’s wins this year, however: 6-0 6-2 in the Cincinnati quarterfinals, 6-1 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the US Open semifinals, and finally 6-4 7-6 in the very recent Paris Masters 1000 final.

Sinner defends in Turin not only the title he won last season, but also the number one ranking in the ATP rankings. It will not depend only on his results, however: Carlos Alcaraz will be able to take the top spot until the end of the’year if he wins at least three matches in the Turin tournament.

Sinner is placed in the round with Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton. The German and the American faced each other Sunday night: Zverev won in two sets.
