Elia Barp surrenders only to Friedrich Moch in Muonio

It still brims with Azzurro in the top 5 of the men”Oloksen Tykkikisat’s men”Oloksen Tykkikisat; in Muonio, Finland. Elia Barp finished in second place tied with host Ristomatti Hakola, 1″9 behind German winner Friedrich Moch, who crossed the finish line with a time of 26’54″4.

Positive test as well for Federico Pellegrino, fifth at 12″4 from Moch. So did the other Azzurri: 20th position for Simone Daprà at 41″8, Davide Graz 22nd at 46″8, and Paolo Ventura 24th at 51″4.

In the women’s field, two Finns were ahead of all: Johanna Matintalo was ahead of compatriot Jasmi Joenssu by 7″4 with a time of 30’21″5, sharing second with Austria’s Teresa Stadlober at 7″4. Eighth was Caterina Ganz at 37″5, while Maria Gismondi finished 32nd at 2’19”.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, the third and final race of the triptych, a 10-kilometer free technique, is scheduled.
