Juventus is assiduously searching for quality in midfield and is scouring the market for possible bargains. Luciano Spalletti has long been asking for a regista capable of dictating the pace of play to the entire team, and the Bianconeri market men have already identified several profiles that could suit the Old Lady.

According to rumors, Juventus has asked for information on Rodrigo Mendoza, a 2005 class from Elche who is being talked about a lot around Europe. Mendoza has a 20 million euro termination clause, and is being watched by other European soccer greats such as Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Also being approached by Como, the 20-year-old midfielder could be the ideal reinforcement for Spalletti in the case of a return to a three-man midfield, with two players like Thuram and Locatelli alongside him. Juventus is also considering other level alternatives such as Bouaddi (Lille) and Bernabé (Parma).

Compared often to Barcelona star Pedri, Mendoza despite his young age is already playing steadily in La Liga, where he has played nine games so far this season. The talent from Elche has been called up several times to the Iberian youth national teams.
