Carlos Alcaraz is in Bologna, but his Davis Cup participation is in jeopardy

There is apprehension in Spain about the condition of Carlos Alcaraz. The Murcian, during the deciding act of the ATP Finals lost to Jannik Sinner, asked for a medical timeout twice for a right thigh problem.

To be precise, the problem is with the hamstring, on which a patch was applied by the physiotherapist at the end of the ninth game of the first set of the final. Meanwhile, the world number 1 has arrived in Bologna, but his participation in the Davis Cup finals is at risk.

Tomorrow Alcaraz will rest and undergo medical tests from which the extent of the injury will be assessed. He wants to play and has until Thursday, the day of the quarterfinal against the Czech Republic, to be able to take the singles court.
