Andy Robertson moves with dedication to Diogo Jota

Scotland finally returns to the World Cup and Andy Robertson, its captain, moves everyone at the end of the 4-2 win over Denmark. “Today I thought a lot about my friend Diogo Jota. We talked many times about the World Cup. I know he will be smiling today looking at me” he told BBC microphones. The Portuguese, a Liverpool teammate of the Briton, tragically passed away in July with his brother André Silva.
“This feat perfectly sums up the spirit of our team – added the defender -: we never give up. We fight to the last and this was one of the craziest matches. We made a whole country suffer, but I am sure it was worth it”.
“This group of guys is the best I have ever worked with and so is the coaching staff. The coach’s speech before the game was incredible. He went over the important moments we experienced and he excited and charged us: this will remain as one of the best nights of my life” Robertson concluded.
