Aprilia and Marco Bezzecchi, a record-breaking season in MotoGP

Aprilia Racing

The triumph of Marco Bezzecchi last Sunday in the Valencia Grand Prix, the last round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, sealed a record-breaking season for l’Aprilia Racing, the most successful ever for the Noale-based manufacturer.

One of the undisputed protagonists of this season was Marco Bezzecchi. In his first season riding for Aprilia, the Italian rider faced an initial phase of adaptation to the RS-GP25, followed by steady growth with the breakthrough in the Jerez test. Since then, Bezzecchi has built a solid feeling with the Aprilia, becoming one of the most competitive riders in the championship.

His record is extraordinary with 3 victories in long races (Silverstone, Portimão and Valencia), 3 victories in sprints (Misano, Mandalika and Phillip Island), a total of 15 total podiums and 5 pole positions (Austria, Misano, Mandalika, Portimão and Valencia). Results that allowed him to end the world championship in third position with 353 points, the best result by a rider in the history of Aprilia Racing in MotoGP.

On the other side of the box, Jorge Martín experienced a difficult season marked by a series of injuries: first in testing at Sepang, then during a training session, then in the long race at Qatar and finally in the sprint at Motegi. Returning in the last race in Valencia after more than a month and a half of stop, he faced the weekend with the goal of regaining confidence with the RS-GP25. On a positive note, the Valencia tests ended with positive feelings and a determination to start a new chapter.

The 2025 season ends with a prestigious second place in the Constructors’ Championship with 418 points, a very important milestone for the MotoGP project. The season will also be remembered for a moment that entered rightfully into the history of the House of Noale. At the Australian Grand Prix, on the iconic Phillip Island circuit, Raúl Fernández, of the Trackhouse MotoGP Team, took Aprilia Racing’s number 300 victory in MotoGP. A record, now at 302, that takes on even more special value because it confirmed Aprilia Racing as the winningest European manufacturer in MotoGP history.
