Brescia awaits Cremona, Matteo Cotelli ready to embrace three old acquaintances

Strong of seven wins in the first eight league games, which in fact are worth the top of the Serie A standings tied with Virtus Bologna, Germani Brescia is getting ready to kick off the ninth day of the championship program: at the A2A PalaLeonessa comes Vanoli Cremona, currently in the playoff zone and just back from the home win against Trieste.
Whiteblue coach Matteo Cotelli knows what to expect from Friday night’s game: “Cremona is a team that is on an exciting path and expressing a basketball of excellent level – he said -. I want to pay my sincerest compliments to coach Pierluigi Brotto and the entire club for what good things have been built so far. In addition, it gives me great pleasure to meet again Luca Vitali and Christian Burns, great protagonists of the biancoblu history, as well as to cross Giovanni Veronesi, to whom I am personally linked and I am glad that he has been able to win his own space in the rotations”.
“Since the contest, I have asked the boys to go on the parquet with the correct approach and the right attitude– added Cotelli -We will have to be good at limiting the number of lost balls, preventing them from turning on the offensive end, and we will have to focus on the individualities of the opponents to direct the trend of the game on our tracks”.
Brescia’s goal is to arrive at the break for the national teams’ activity by confirming the good things it has shown in these first weeks of 2025-2026: after landing in the Supercoppa final (where it lost to Olimpia Milano) the reigning vice-champion team of Italy lost only one other game, on November 2 in Trapani (77-75). Since then, three straight wins have come against Olimpia Milano, Trieste and Napoli.
