Mandragora responds to Kostic: Fiorentina-Juventus ends in a draw

The challenge between Fiorentina and Juventus, valid for the twelfth round of the Serie A championship, ends with the score of 1-1. At the Stadio Artemio Franchi therefore comes another draw for both Paolo Vanoli, who had debuted with an ‘X’ in Marassi against Genoa, and Luciano Spalletti, who after the success over Cremonese drew with Sporting in the Champions League and Torino in the pre-stop derby.
First half that, apart from a penalty awarded on 14′ for an alleged foul in the area on Vlahovic and then revoked after the VAR check, struggles to take off and that also sees an’interruption, on 19′, for racist chants against Dusan Vlahovic, a Juventus striker with a past, among others, in the purple club itself. At the resumption of play comes almost out of nowhere Moise Kean’s crossbar at 25′ but it is Juve that goes through, in the long recovery allotted by referee Doveri, thanks to Kostic’s winning strike from outside the box.
.
The lead, in fact, was short-lived: on 3′ of the second half, in fact, it was another conclusion from outside, this time by the Florentine (and former Bianconero) Mandragora that got past the opponent goalkeeper, thus giving Fiorentina the equalizer. In the pinwheel of changes in the second half are Ndour, Gudmundsson, Kouadio and Viti for the Viola in place of Sohm, Piccoli, Parisi and Ranieri). Spalletti responds with Cabal, Miretti and ConceiƧao for Kostic, Khephren Thuram and Cambiaso.
The result, however, does not change anymore and the match ends in a draw.
Fiorentina remains in last position with 6 points, momentarily hooking Hellas Verona, while Juventus moves up to 20, missing, however, the landing to the Champions zone. Now it’s time to think about Europe: away Champions for Juve, engaged on Tuesday against Bodo/Glimt, Fiorentina engaged at home on Thursday with AEK in the Conference League.
