Serie B: Frosinone wins in Bari. Ok Empoli, Papu debuts but Padova goes down
There were five matches of the 13th day of Serie B played on Saturday: three away wins and two draws. Frosinone won in Bari 3-2 thanks to goals by Raimondo, Bracaglia and Ghedjemis (Verreth and Castrovilli were not enough for the Galletti) and climbed back to -1 from leading Monza, on the pitch on Sunday.
Empoli’s win at Avellino: the Azzurri triumph 3-0 with goals from Elia, Saporiti and Pellegri and center their second consecutive victory that brings them closer to the playoff zone. Carrarese-Reggiana (0-0) and Entella-Palermo (1-1) end in a draw: the rosanero thanks to Pohjanpalo rebalanced Tiritiello’s goal in the second half.
Papu Gomez made his debut against Padova, returning to play after two years of disqualification, but the Biancoscudati were defeated at home 2-0 by Venezia, scoring through Busio and Yeboah. Gomez entered the field at 58′ for Seghetti but failed to affect the result. The Lagunari thanks to this victory rise to fifth place in the standings.
