Davis Cup, historic trio in a row for Italy: Flavio Cobolli completes 2-0 win over Spain

Not even the absence of Jannik Sinner (and Lorenzo Musetti) prevented tennis’Italy from winning its fourth Davis Cup, its third consecutive and first at home after the two won in Malaga.
After Matteo Berrettini, who won over Pablo Carreño Busta by 2-0 (6-4, 6-4) in just over an hour and a quarter, Flavio Cobolli also triumphed in his singles match against Jaume Munar, which lasted, however, almost three hours.
The final score of 1-6 7-6 7-5 tells of the Blue’s incredible comeback that knocked out Spain, without needing to resort to doubles.
As was the case with Austria and Belgium, Simone Bolelliand Andrea Vavassori thus had to do nothing but cheer and enjoy the’epic triumph as spectators.
