Inter market, costs 50 million but can come for zero: nerazzurri in race for star in the balance

L’Inter continues to closely monitor the situation of Marc Guehi, a Crystal Palace defender whose contract expires in June 2026. The Nerazzurri are still part of the batch of suitors for the Ivorian-born English defender, who will decide his future in January.
Technician Oliver Glasner in a press conference ruled nothing out, admitting that his star is in the balance after the failure to agree on a contract renewal: “Marc shows every week that he is 100% committed to Crystal Palace. There’s no need to think about it. We have 15 games until January 10, he should not think about a possible transfer”.
Glasner explained that Palace is “ready for a possible transfer” of the player as early as the winter market. Inter Milan remains in the window: the Nerazzurri executives could contact the player in January, when there will be only 6 months left until the natural expiration of his contract, to try to convince him to move to Milan from next June on a zero-parameter basis.
Guehi is being followed by Palace.
Guehi is being followed by several top European clubs (Liverpool being one of them) and has not yet decided on his next destination.
Crystal Palace could opt to sell him immediately, at a reduced price, so as not to lose him for free in the summer. The player’s value is estimated at around 50 million euros.
