Juventus market, Gianluigi Buffon reveals a backstory

Ospite to ‘Fuoriclasse’, the Sunday night show hosted by Diletta Leotta on Dazn, Gianluigi Buffon also revealed a market backstory on the last years of his career, before returning to Parma where he announced his farewell to soccer.

“I had two opportunities in my last years to go together with Gasperini to Atalanta – admitted the’former Juventus goalkeeper – and it was something I didn&#8217t mind, it was a reality that I saw was playing with everyone and I had some desire”.

“The last message, he sent me that I was 43 years old, and he wrote, ‘If you want to be bored on the bench, stay there’ (laughs, ed.). I would have gladly gone. Repentant? No, because my football history with Juventus and Parma was too important”.

“I would have liked to, I was at a point in my career that I could have done one-two more years well and be an added value, however, every once in a while it is right to give up something” concluded the national team’s head of delegation.
