Fenerbahce-Virtus Bologna: Ivanovic seeks feat against defending champions

Virtus Bologna is ready for a rather challenging away game. Today (2:45 p.m. ball), the Black Vs will be on stage on the hostile court of Fenerbahce. Coach Ivanovic’s team is currently on a 50-50 winning streak in the Euroleague (6-6) but, out of six away trips, has won only once.
The goal is to trip up the reigning European champions, a team in which Melli, former Olimpia Milano star, also plays. As always, coach Ivanovic will be banking on Edwards’ talent and the desire to do well of a group that has proven to have a thousand resources. Fortunately, Pajola, who escaped battered from the challenge with Cantù,
will be in the game.
“This is a very important game because we face the reigning Champions of Europe. They are a very good team, the best defense in the’Euroleague. They have a lot of talented players. So it will definitely be a tough game for us, but we came here to try to win it” the words of coach Ivanovic.
He is echoed by Alston: “Every time you face the defending champions, you know it will be a tough game, especially when you face them at their home. However, I think it’s important to stay focused on ourselves. We will have to try to give it our all and keep up the’intensity to be competitive for all 40 minutes”.
