Milan market: away goes the spearhead in January, possible replacement identified

A.C. Milan plans a turnaround in the January market, as far as the offensive department available to Massimiliano Allegri is concerned. Among the players at risk of transferring is Santiago Gimenez: the Mexican striker, who arrived in January this year, has never managed to convince with the Rossoneri jersey.
The player is currently held back by a problem with his right ankle that does not allow him to perform at his best, and he has been out of action for the last three league games. Bebote’s situation is increasingly delicate, and not even Allegri, despite the trust he has placed in him, has been able to raise his stock: at the moment, the Mexican has lost his place and the Diavolo is pondering a transfer in January.

On the player’s trail would be Sunderland, an ambitious English club currently in the upper reaches of the Premier League standings. Already in the summer, the Britons had come forward with Pimenta’s agent, and they could return to the charge in January to reinforce their attack, with a view to a sprint for Champions League qualification. There is talk of an onerous loan with mandatory redemption under certain conditions.
Accordingly, Milan is aiming to collect 30 million euros and in the meantime is looking at possible replacements: among them is Parma’s 2001 class Mateo Pellegrini, valued at around 25 million euros by the ducali. Also on the list of ds Tare is Joaquin Panichelli of Strasbourg.
