Virtus Aversa relies on Gianluca Graziosi

Virtus Aversa has announced that Gianluca Graziosi will be the new coach of the Norman team. It is a highly prestigious choice, the result of the club’s desire to make a further qualitative leap and entrust the technical project to one of the most authoritative and respected profiles in Italian volleyball.
Born in 1965, a native of Ancona, Marche, Graziosi brings with him a wealth of experience built over more than 30 years at the highest levels of national volleyball. A technician with an acknowledged charisma, capable of affecting
immediately on the mentality of his teams, Graziosi is known for a volleyball that is modern, effective and devoted to daily work, elements that have made him an absolute benchmark in the field.
His career speaks for itself: his coaching debut at Potenza Picena led him immediately to promotion to A1 and to grazing a historic Coppa Italia in Chieri. In Bergamo he signed one of the brightest cycles of recent years:
he leads the team – at the time a freshman – to two promotion semifinals and then returns in 2020 leading Agnelli Tipiesse to the conquest of an Italian Cup, two Super Cups and receiving the prestigious
Costa Anderlini Award as the best coach of the Volleyball League Serie A.
In Superleague, with Ravenna in 2018, he finished tenth. The interludes in Siena see him as an absolute protagonist: first he dominates the season interrupted by the pandemic while the team is first in the standings, then
returns in 2023 reaching another promotion final and semifinals in the sports year. Last experience always in Series A2 with Prisma
Taranto.
No less important is his contribution to the growth of Italian talents: in 2018 he won gold at the Mediterranean Games with the national team and, in the same year, he brought Italy back to the roof of the world
university with a triumph at the Universiade.
