F1, Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel has an explanation for Lewis Hamilton’s complicated season

With still two race weekends to go, in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, Lewis Hamilton can still give himself and Ferrari a smile but there is no doubt that in the twenty-two races so far, the seven-time world champion has not shown much confidence either with the SF-25 or with the Ferrari environment, if we exclude the success in the Shanghai Sprint at the beginning of the season.
Trying to lend him a hand, in this sense, is a former driver who knows the Cavallino very well and who has remained in the hearts of many fans, despite failing to win the Formula 1 World Championship with the Red: Sebastian Vettel. Speaking as a guest on ‘Beyond the Grid’ the official Circus podcast, Vettel gave his own explanation of Hamilton’s difficult year.
“Ferrari has an Italian heart – he said – and the culture of the team is also Italian. You can’t get familiar with everyone in the team if maybe they don’t speak or understand English well. Sure, you can be with them but you can’t understand them in depth. I say this because it is a mistake I have made, although I have taken courses and some words I’ve learned, although not perfectly”.
“The advice I gave Lewis is this: he should learn the language and spend more time in Italy, understand the Italian people and culture. I should have spent more time on it myself, that’s why I said it to him” Vettel later added, also confirming that he has great confidence in Ferrari”s potential with Hamilton at the helm.
The Italian team is not perfect, not perfectly.
