Federica Brignone, some details of her return to skiing emerge

The FISI has issued a communiqué from which a few more details emerge about Federica Brignone’s return to skiing in Cervinia. Here is the text of the statement.
“Federica Brignone’s rehabilitation phase is proceeding according to plan, 237 days after the fall she suffered at the Absolute Italian Championships last April 3, which caused her to fracture the tibial plateau and the head of the fibula of her left leg.”
“The women’s World Cup holder has completed the first part of physical rehabilitation at the JMedical in Turin, obtaining in these days the green light from the FISI Medical Commission to proceed further in her recovery plan, which includes the addition of track work.”
“So she showed up on the snow in Cervinia, where she completed a few laps on touring skis, accompanied by federal technicians. The goal at this stage is to add stability and confidence to her progress, goals that the champion from Valle d’Aosta will also pursue in the coming weeks, where she will alternate phases of loading in the gym with additional days on the slope.”
