The Gazzetta dello Sport interviewed ahead of Atletico Madrid-Inter a double former like Joao Miranda. They talked about tonight’s match, Lautaro Martinez and many other topical issues.

There is, however, one response from the’former defender that is making the rounds on the web, the one in which he talked about his relationship with Luciano Spalletti, now Juventus coach but then his own coach in the Nerazzurri.

“Could I have done more? Yes. With Mancini, De Boer and Pioli I was a starter, then Spalletti came along. One who imposed fear. As a coach nothing to say: a winner. He took Inter back to the Champions League and laid the foundations for the future, but as a man … let”.

“The worst coach we had in Italy in that sense – he added, always referring to the coach from Certaldo – Mancini was a gentleman, De Boer was not understood. But Spalletti lived in fear that someone would speak ill of him. If you notice, very few players had good relations with him. We fought over matters on the field. He doesn’t like people who go against him and have different opinions. After that quarrel, which happened in my last year at Inter, I started playing less and less. He used to deploy me once every other time. So it is difficult to get into condition, especially if you find yourself playing only the important matches”.
