Olimpia Milano, good first for Peppe Poeta who praises defense
Winning debut for Peppe Poeta on the bench of Olimpia Milano. The meneghina team, coming off three consecutive losses, regained victory in the Euroleague against Maccabi Tel Aviv (102-88) on the neutral court of the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade.
“A good game, especially in the second half when we played much better in defense as well and that was the key to creating the biggest gap – stressed the new coach of the red-and-whites to the microphones of EuroLeagueTV -. In offense we were fantastic, we passed the ball well, we found good shots”.
“I am super happy, the guys did a great performance, we shared the ball well on offense, great defense in the second half– he added in the press conference -. I thank them, and I dedicate this victory to the ownership and Ettore Messina who gave me confidence and this opportunity”.
