Like Sinner, other Azzurri such as Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Sonego and Simone Bolelli remained silent on social media, preferring to offer private condolences to the family. Instead, Fabio Fognini wanted to pay public tribute to Pietrangeli: “The best day of my career, when I raised the trophy in Monte Carlo, he was with me.
